Hey, this is a Doodle I did last year, around the time me and my boyfriend first started going out.
That was a very good time for sketchy art for me, and this was one of the gems I did, because I was happy to finally be with him. This is my second ever digital...er, '  ainting'?...deviation, the first was one layer on gimp [link] this one was 16 layers in photoshopcritiques, tips, etc. are appreciated EDIT: Did have a the background above the squid on a low transparency but removed it. It just doesn't feel like the squid and background belong together - do you have any advice? Comments CUTE!!!!! Squidy Love!!!! *^_^*

Critiques
I personally love how even though the squids look near anatomically realistic, they still have such cute emotions. (Especially the green one!)
It is a simple painting overall, but the simplicity gives such a nice feel to the art piece as a whole. I do like the very mild, soft colors-- It's not flashy and not excessive, so the simple background ties the whole thing together very nicely.
Very nice painting overall, it is definitely very cute, indeed.
